For the record, I find Robin Thicke’s Blurred Lines morally reprehensible (but incredibly catchy).

This Weird Al version made me laugh and laugh and laugh.  It speaks to my inner English professor.

I almost choked to death trying not to laugh out loud watching this at work earlier today.

God bless you Al Yankovic, you’ve taken a catchy yet disgusting song and actually made it catchy and enjoyable.

memorydragon bless you for bringing this to my attention

Bless Weird Al for making this masterpiece

Bless

I am like hardcore anti-prescriptivist and I actually enjoyed this Weird Al is a wizard

Mia’s signature in Little White Lie (?)

miarrenandchrisneyland:

Ok so this isn’t anything new and has been pointed by others before, but it got brought up on Twitter and I thought I’d make a post about it since maybe some people might not know about it. If you’re aware of Starkid you’ve probably watched/heard about Little White Lie. In it we can see a guitar that seems to have Mia’s signature. You can see it in the very first minutes of the show (link here). Or you can just look at these screencaps:

Now, for the sake f fairness, here’s a pic signed by Mia more recently (thanks spreadlovelikelegs):

Admittedly, it does look quite different from the LWL one, but it’s been a long time and some people do change their handwriting/signature with time, plus she now signs as Mia Von Glitz so we can’t make a complete comparison (but if anyone has other examples of Mia’s signature feel free to submit/link me them). Just looking at the signature itself it does look a lot like it spells Mia Swier, though.

Assuming it is Mia’s signature, we know Darren and Mia have been dating since at least before Darren was on Glee, but Little White Lie was produced in 2007, meaning they would at least know each other then (this means Mia and Darren would have known each other for at least six years which I think is pretty cool, if it is her signature). We can’t know for sure if it is hers, who the signed guitar belonged to, and obviously Darren isn’t the one playing but actually Chris Allen. However, it seems most likely (considering Darren was on the show and their budget was pretty limited) that the guitar signed by Mia belonged to Darren who lent it and used another one for his own character (it wouldn’t be unlike him to have two guitars even back then).

Personally, *I* think it is Mia’s signature, but that’s just my opinion, it could be something else entirely. Just throwing this out there in sake of discussion :)
